Feminist Theory Series Line-Up
Join us in a discussion of interdisciplinary feminist texts that continue to inspire!
The Feminist Theory Series 📚 kicks-off again on September 25th, and this time there is a twist! In a continuing effort to build feminist community here on the stacks, I have invited a handful of my favorite feminist writers ✨ to join us as special guest-participants.
Each special guest has chosen for us an essay or book chapter in their area of interest — a piece that inspires them to want to share with others and discuss. We'll be reading texts across many disciplines: film theory, art history, history history, philosophy, and more!

Mona, I’m so excited to be a part of your series. Linda and I were colleagues, we were the first two people to teach the aesthetics and politics of “porn” in a university setting, (the 90s) and this particular essay of hers, is my favorite.
Linda died earlier this year, after a stroke, and I know all of us who knew her are still staggered. She was one of the most engaging critical thinkers I’ve ever known.
Finally I want everyone reading this to know that I AM the polished young thing on the far left of your illustration, with the sumptuous librarian bun. I am indeed going to wear that bun for our seminar! (May need to use wiglet).
